Spoken like someone who's actually used a 6.5 on real game. My 6.5 JDJ Contender barrel uses a 120 Nosler BT at only 2400 fps. Nevertheless, it's DEADLY. I've killed close to 30 big game animals w/ it, mostly whitetail deer, but also 2 pronghorn antelope, 2 mule deer, a bunch of prairie dogs and one turkey.

True. In addition, I think American hunters in general just don't "get" the 6.5's. For example, as a hunting cartridge, the 7-08 Remington has a good following, but the 260 Remington if prolly on it's way to oblivion...
