I think every draft class receives its fair share of hype, with the occasional exception (last year for example).

But as early as this time last year, people were declaring this group the greatest class in decades. Tank for Wiggins was even posted on this board, iirc. A friggin' year ago.

I purposefully overstated the "full of busts" but it's not necessarily an overstatement. This class will have its share. I think truly special players will separate themselves by tournament time, I would think.

Call me a contrarian if you want, but I just think people are overly eager when it comes to this class. I think Wiggins has, so far, looked a little disappointing. Parker has looked pretty good, but I think he's staying in school. I've been most impressed by Embiid, but hell he may not be coming out either.
