And as far speed goes he has outrun p hillis in several races.
If the 4.5 time is accurate, he's got enough speed to play at S.

4.5 speed is fast enough to play any position if you do your assignment and are smart. People always overestimate it always amazes me how people act like 4.4 speed is the norm and how everybody runs between 4.35-4.45 coming out of high school but you see so few each year at the NFL combine

I like him. Good leg strength, needs to bulk up upper body though. Runs like Hester, but shiftier with short strides. Looks like he likes D more, good hitter. Would make a good hybrid lb like Chavis likes. With the Offenses opening up nowadays need those types. Definitely offer a preferred walkon spot. Good luck to him.

My thoughts are, what has anybody got to lose by offering a walk on spot? He didn't cost you any money. Let him work for year to see if he belongs and if not he can alway transfer down and standout Without losing any eligibility.

Due to disappointments with CRob, Hootie, Noil, Willis, and Tony Brown and 6 others leaving, we have some vacancies. Don't know how Les will play all this since we're still targeting some big fish, but at the end of NSD, if we still have vacancies, Les may want to entertain some "projects." These would be here 5 years and provide some leadership and continuity.

A little update. Zak went on a visit to a d2 school this weekend. He's #1 on their list. It went well. Zak surprised everyone even his dad by showing off his long sapping skills as well. He's been working on it quietly with hillis timing the snaps. Said he's as good as some of the guys in the league. As far as speed and accuracy. Just one more tool in the tools box he said. The more you can do the better.

Maybe some news on the LSU front today or tomorrow. Pretty vague I know. Don't want to jinx it.

Good looking athlete. I was more impressed with his highlights as a safety. He's a heavy hitter. When he was on offense, there was was some AWFUL tackling!!!

How many can LSU take this yr?
Posted on 1/31/14 at 12:56 pm to Orangeblood5
25 is the number being thrown around. The problem is more so db commits, which is where we are full at. I know we are saving a spot for Jackson, nd it's him or bust since he can play offense or kr, pr..

MSU and Arky offering him - LSU will probably get serious after NSD.
