that is pretty damn high for a house of that age...

are you sure you don't have some hot water faucets dripping or something like that?...

also, be sure to wrap your water heater and the water lines leading to/from it with insulation....

you may want to put in some insulated curtains, as it will likely be higher during the summer...

And that's the thing, we moved in this house in March and the bill while running the ac was never higher than 180.i know running an electric heater cost more to do, but damn something doesn't seem right

Change windows to energy ones, change light bulbs to low energy, wrap water heater pipes, insulated curtains, extra attic insulation (big one), and hang dry more clothes it's better go em anyway.

You'll lose money buying all this for a few years, but earn it back in fricking spades eventually.

Helps year round both AC and Heat
