All of LSU's 2009/2010 class are in the NFL. Didn't you hear, we set the NFL record for underclassman declaring last season. This year could have been a national title run for the Tigers.

Instead you end up playing a close game against an average Iowa team in the Outback Bowl. Ironic isn't it?

Couldn't have been losing Mettenberger the last game of the year then starting an unproven QB in the bowl game.

But you are also the Iowa fan that said LSU as a team wouldn't break 100 yards rushing.

Your amazing trio of LB's sure had a great day.

With Mettenberger we would have won by 30+

First of all, that game wasn't as close as the score showed. Second, LSU constantly plays down to mediocre opponents. Interestingly enough, most of the time they win.
Inversely, Iowa often plays teams that they shouldn't beat with a lot of mettle... Yet still lose.

I'll take an LSU team that plays down to infer opponents and makes a habit of winning 10+ games per year over an Iowa team that is "gritty" and "tenacious" any day.

Whew, that Iowa team sure did eat up the yards and clock on those two scoring drives. Was either of them more that five yards total? If this would not have been a rebuilding year on defense Iowa wouldn't have scored on those possessions inside our five yd line either.

The funniest thing about your weak attempt to sit at the big boy table and talk grown man FB is that nobody on the LSU sidelines was ever worried about Iowa winning that game. Iowa was totally outclassed by an LSU team that didn't bother to throw the ball or disguise their plays in the least.

Iowa fans should be embarrassed at how lazily the LSU team just walked over your boys.

Beat you with a true freshman QB making his first start

Had Mettenberger played, it would have been a completely different game. Outside of Hill, our two biggest offensive weapons (who will be in the NFL next year) had their effectiveness reduced by the loss of Mett.
