I bought a 2013 Ford XLT (5.0)Screw 4x4 in August of last year. Best truck I've ever driven. Drove Chevy's and Gmc's for 20+ years. I needed a change. Looked at the Tundra crewmax 4x4 but the mpg and the added cost was out the box. I know people that paid 10 grand more for their Tundra than I paid for my F-150. And we have the same options. I wouldn't own a Dodge unless it has a Cummins. And I don't like Gm's technology on the 5.3's .Cylinder deactivation Switching to a 4 cyl. while driving, seems like problems in the future.

I had the same sort of technology in my charger and now have it in my sierra. It's different technology on the same principle, but I never had any problems with my charger. Hope I have the same luck with this one

If you're talking about the Active Fuel Management System, it's been around for quite a while. I have a 2008 with 165k on it and it's never had any transmission problems.
