The New Orleans Saints hired Sean Payton as the team’s 14th head coach in team history eight years ago today.
*Payton has posted a 73-39 regular season record and a 6-4 postseason mark, guiding the team to the postseason five times, to the NFC Championship game twice and the Super Bowl XLIV Championship.
*He’s the club’s lone head coach to open a season with 13 straight victories and post a 13-game winning streak and has the franchise’s top winning percentage (.652).
*Payton’s 40-16 (.714) home record and 33-23 (.589) mark away from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome are the club’s top winning percentages in both categories.
*In his first season in 2006, he took the Saints to the NFC Championship game and was named NFL Coach of the Year by most major outlets.
*The Saints are one of only two teams to finish in the top ten in net yards per game each season since 2006, including finishing fourth in 2013. The Saints also improved from 32nd in 2012 to fourth in 2013 in opponent net yards per game.

(outdated with GW but still cute)
Thank you Sean for revolutionizing what we had ever known about this franchise!

I would like to see Greg Williams's image removed from that great image.
Didn't he try to throw the Saints under the bus and pass the blame after he was accused of wrongdoing?

I recognize a lot of them, but by no means all. I think my favorites are Al Scramuzza, the Rosenberg's logo girl, and Jim Garrison

On the original it says "Welcome The Rolling Stones" -- the Beatles' "rivals"

Since no else wants to play I'll add a few I recognize:
Back row: Paul Prudhomme, Hank Stram, Jim Henderson, Bum Phillips, Danny Abramowicz, Al Hirt
Next row: Bobby Hebert, Morgus, Nash Roberts, Professor Longhair, Archie Manning, Rosenberg's logo girl, Dr. John, Jim Garrison, Al Scramuzza, Peter Finney
Next row: Fats Domino, Pete Rozelle, Jim Mora, Buddy D, Gen PGT Beauregard
I didn't notice Russell Long. Is Hale Boggs on there? We wouldn't have the Saints without them.
And is that Carlos Marcello?

And who should be there but isn't?
Chris Owens?
Al Copeland (is he on there? I'm not sure what he looks like)
Hap Glaudi
Paul Morphy
Tennessee Williams -- maybe Brando/Leigh
David Ferrie?
