Voter fraud: We got proof it's easy | National Review Online.com.
Just how many votes by fraud is ok ? Maybe 3-5 votes, or what would you be comfortable with in voter fraud ? That would be a limited amount, but how about 61 votes by fraud, would you think that could be to many in one local election ?
The board of elections wants to prosecute those doing the voter fraud rather than looking at just how it was possible to do the fraud.
Photo ID can solve all these problems.
Liberals who oppose efforts to prevent voter fraud claim that there is no fraud - or at least not that involves voting at the polls.
But New York City's watchdog Department of Investigations had just provided the latest evidence of how easy it is to commit voter fraud that is almost undetectable. DOI undercover agents showed up at 63 polling places last fall and pretended to be voters who should have been turned away by election officials ; the agents assumed the names of individuals who had died or moved out of town, or who were sitting in jail. In 61 instances, or 97 percent of the time, the testers were allowed to vote. Those who did cast a vote wrote in “ John Test ” so as to not affect the outcome of any contest. DOI published its findings two weeks ago in a searing 70-page report accusing the city's Board of Elections of incompetence, waste, nepotism, and lax procedures.
Good-government groups are gobsmacked at Souma's refusal to smell the stench of corruption in his patronage - riddled empire. “ They should focus not on assigning blame to others, but on taking responsibility for solving the problems,” Dick Dadey of the watchdog group Citizens Union told the Daily News. “ It is a case of the Board of Elections passing the buck.”
DOI officials respond that the use of undercover agents is routine in anti-corruption probes and that people should carefully read the 70-page report they've filled before criticizing it. They are surprised ( REALLY ?!!! ) how little media attention their report has received.
You'd think more media outlets would have been interested, because the sloppiness revealed in the DOI report is mind boggling. Young undercover agents were able to vote using the names of people three times their age, people who in fact were dead. In one example, a 24 year old female agent gave the name of of someone who had died in 2012 at age 87; the workers at the Manhatten polling site gave her a ballot, no questions asked. Even the two cases where poll workers turned away an investigator raised eyebrows. In the first case, a poll worker on Staten Island walked outside with the undercover investigator who had just been refused a ballot; the “ voter ” was advised to go to the polling place near where he used to live and “ play dumb ” in order to vote.
In the second case, the investigator was stopped from voting only because the felon whose name he was using was the son of the elected official at the polling place.
NOTHING TO SEE HERE, MOVE ALONG.
FORWARD BEACHES.

Honestly, the most shocking part of this story is that it was New York City that carried out the investigation.
"No shite" was my thought to the rest of the story.

Not surprised at all. It's how Democrats roll.

So it is easy, huh? How many people were involved in these 61 "instances"? One would presume that only one tester could scam the system at one polling place or would only attempt to do so because trying to vote multiple times at the same polling place could easily lead to their being caught. SO....this particular "test" most likely required 63 people being convinced to commit a crime and take the time to vote. In the precincts that ya'll are particularly concerned about the process can take several hours, and in precincts that are not as busy the chances of being caught are much greater.
Barrack Obama won the White House in 2012 with about 3.5 Million votes.....is any one suggesting that 3.5 million people were involved in a voter fraud conspiracy? If not 3.5 Million how many? 1.75 million people who voted twice? Either number is difficult to imagine, especially in light of there being almost no reports of any suspected wrongdoing.
If...and this is a big IF....the democrats are able to pull off such a conspiracy then why the frick would you want a party in power who wasn't able to stop it? I mean a conspiracy involving millions of people would have to be easy to spot if one were truly interested in doing so...apparently the GOP is not interested.

The people that oppose ID at the polling places are supporting fraud tacitly. How about this idea to give to the people of a state to ponder as a means of preventing fraud, utilize the same dye on a finger that was done in Iraq several years ago. Vote, place a finger in the dye, and the dye will react under a certain wave length of light. Try to commit fraud, arrest the SOB on the spot.

The next step will be the DOJ hiring the New Black Panthers to intimidate any White voters that dare to go to the polling place...

According to you, blood moons are a few months away, and that means the end of the world. So we'll never have another election. So why the concern about voter fraud?

Election fraud is a far more serious issue than voter fraud. When can I expect a National Review article on how incredibly easy it is for a software company to rig the vote counts within a proprietary voting tabulator?

There's no honesty reason to be against common sense voter ID laws that protect the integrity of our democracy.
I expect those that benefit the most from voter fraud to dismiss it, and deflect from the issue.

No it can't. Most voter fraud happens after the votes are cast. There are also fake ID's. Duh.

The obvious fallacy here is the presumption that simply because a crime is easy - people will do it. There's very little to personally gain from casting a ballot you aren't entitled to cast.
You could also dump a gallon of paint in a U.S. Post Office collection box if you wanted to be an a-hole - and probably get away with it - yet this doesn't seem to be a big problem - as there is little to gain from it.

Hardly surprising. When you don't require voter identification with a picture ID, how could you possibly prevent voter fraud?

3 down votes, I bet they're illegal voters.

Seems like that should be the least of our worries.

The primary purpose of voter ID laws is to tilt the vote in favor of Republican candidates.
Republicans have admitted this on more than one occasion.
