re: Outdoor Board Demographics and maybe a little sappiness

Age: 64 at end of month
Raised in a farming community south of Alexandria LA.
Had a BB gun at age 6 for birds and a 20 gauge at 10 for squirrels, rabbits, and doves. No deer until I reached high school. My Dad started me early hunting and fishing but like all country boys we also learned on our own.
Ended up in Lafourche Parish after school to work as a marine biologist with the state, and now retired.
Own 5 pistols, four shotguns, six big game rifles of 5 calibers, two rim fire rifles, and one BB gun; also own thousands and thousands of pistol, rifle, and shotgun ammo.
Deer hunting is a major passion as I hunt in N LA, Lafourche Parish, and Amite County MS.
Also love to fish and have a fishing camp in Lafourche Parish just north of Catfish Lake.
