That's their M.O. They've been fed this "independence, don't need a man" bullshite for so long they start to believe it. It's fine when they're in their 20s and early 30s and/or somewhat attractive. Then, reality sets in, and they start to realize that they are not turning heads as much as they used to.

I know I'm behind, but you'd be surprised at how fast a head can turn once you get the cane around it.
I would not date a 19 year old.
