In other football news, I was told last night by former St. Thomas Moore quarterback Brandon Bergeron’s father that Brandon is now a walk-on at LSU. Bergeron (6’3”, 195) played last season for Highland Community College in Kansas where he threw for 2,978 yards and 22 touchdowns with only nine interceptions. His completion percentage of 70.7% (282-of-399) was first in his conference. Welcome aboard, Bergeron!

Wouldn't be surprised if he breaks out to be a starter. Do you guys really think Jennings "claimed" his spot in the bowl game. Sure jennings is a true freshman and has ALOT to learn but if we get some freak from a junior college that turns out to be pretty good, it would give jennings some time to understudy for another year.

Is it true that LSU fullback Connor Neighbors was a walk on?

THIS

And, if all he ever does is throw extra passes to let the WR's, TEs, and RB, practice their routes and catching...or play scout QB to help the defense prepare for a similar opponent, then he will have contributed quite a lot (and infinitely more than any of these asshat critics ever did) to LSU football.

Welcome aboard and congratulations to the young man!

If he can compete for playing time that's great. It only makes the position stronger.

However, there is probably another motivation: learn Cam Cameron's offense and carry that knowledge with you into the future for potential coaching jobs.
