Jan, 2013 to Jan, 2014 = 6th year.
We've technically played in 2 BCS games the last 6 years.
We've played in one during the last 6 seasons. I think he meant seasons in his original post.

Sorry I stepped out for a bit, what did I miss?
Fair statement.
When I said, "most talented team in the nation" I was referring to LSU having the most early entrees in the draft, which makes silly posters here claim that we recruit the "most talent" in the nation. I was kind of mocking those posts, or mocking the fact that we set a NFL draft record for early entrees following a season in which we didn't even finish in the top ten in the final poll. Personally, I do not believe that we have greater talent than the rest of college football. I just think we have more late round draft talent leave early. If we did have the most talent, then our coaching staff is underperforming.
Still can't come to grips with the fact that in the last 6 football SEASONS, we have one BCS bowl appearance. You are the one playing semantics. The jan. 8, 2008 BCS national title game was for the 2007 season.

In two consecutive post you stated that LSU was the most talented team in the nation, and then that other teams have just as much talent.
Fair statement.

LSU 2004 and 2008 national champs

I think we knew ya meant seasons. And it is disappointing. I want to see if this was just this group of guys with this mentality, ill be interested to see how many stay after next season. Once is an anomaly, twice is getting irritating, third time is a trend

rise to win at least 10 games again...as very few teams do. alabama and auburn lost 2 games and we lost 3....how many games did alabama win this year..the most sought after coaches i.e., bill obrien, james franklin, kevin sumlin.....how many did they win? Texas, Penn State, Washington would have paid Les a ton of money if they thought he would leave....but we are stuck with him...thank goodness. 3rd in the west is ok for this year, and 2 NCs in the last 10 years is pretty damn good.

Dude - everyone who has advanced past the 2nd grade knows he meant "seasons". I don't totally subscribe to Choup's hysteria, but he has a point . . . to a point. We have lost a few players of a certain level of talent (solid, but not spectacular - i. e. drafted 4th rd - not drafted at all) which other comparable schools (Bama, UGA, UF) have managed to keep over the past 2 years. On the flip side, we just had a very good OT decide to stay while Bama is losing a few players (Sunseri & Pagan) that normally might stay. So maybe things are evening out.
But back to Russian - 1 BCS game in 6 SEASONS. Don't go full retard arguing that anymore. It doesn't suit you.

The only way to fix this is to have Les stop recruiting NFL talent.

I'm going to stick with Rummy & BHP on this one. You lose.
Posted on 1/14/14 at 11:52 pm to LSURussian
BHP and I had a good discussion about it. Nobody called the other poster a jerkwad, worthless POS. We discussed it like grown ups.
Rummy didn't agree with your assessment of what constitutes season. He hasn't been around here since about page 2.

Admins don't call posters POS. But Rummy made it clear what he thinks of your posts where you always do your best to put down LSU sports programs, players and coaches. You've been noticed and exposed.

I rarely comment negatively on the players. The players in this thread are no longer LSU players. They made the choice to be paid professionals.
