It means real. He explained it during an interview recently with one of the sport stations in Nola. He said it was a saying they used while he was growing up. They would say Buga no sugar which meant real not fake.

Means one other thing too but it's kind of a joke but not really

Re-read my post. Google it. It's not that hard. Plus, multiple people have posted that it means "Real, not fake"
Also, I provided a link to dictionary.com where the word "suspect" is defined. It can be used as an adjective which means "questionable" or "under suspicion"
So now all you lazy asses have it all explained to you (again)

Buga means real. Not fake. So buganation is a bunch of real dudes, not fakes.
I think that's definitely the underlying meaning. But they turned it into an acronym. I only know this because I was looking back through some pics I took during his announcement and realized it was on the back of all their shirts.

I'm almost certain momma fournette came up with the acronym. I havent heard of it before the trademark filing.

I'm excited already to see what Buga Nation is all about. I am glad that Mr. Fournette chose to be a Tiger and I can't wait to see him play.

So, 3 pages of posters acting like everyone should know what it means and the only thing I know for sure is that Buga means "real" and "contains no sugar."
It is supposedly something he and his friends said growing up. That is fine, but what does it mean? You can't tell me he and his friends simply pulled it out of thin air! Buga? It sounds dumb. I will not be saying it.
