I'm against the st George spin off for a few reasons but.... The continued poking of a sleeping bear by the opponents is ridiculous.. Instead of actually discussing and working towards a resolution they have done nothing but antagonize the supporters and IMO help grow their roots..

This. It's like a bunch of freaking kids around there. I had thought Mayor Holden was a good man (even if I don't agree with him all the time) but this really makes me question things. It would be so easy for him to validate their concerns and solve some of them for quick wins. It would make him a hero and setup his campaign for Lt. Gov. But instead, he antagonizes them, galvanizes their resolve, and makes it more likely they incorporate. Idiocy.

Just about every politician whose district mainly covers incorporated BR has been doing the same thing... they see the worst-case scenario for BR if St. George bolts but they seem to be doing their damndest to make it happen by antagonizing St. George instead of addressing issues.

The last shite that Delgado et all pulled last night, which was attempting to replace St. George Fire District board members with BRFD loyalist, was beyond the pale.

If they want to put BRFD loyalists on that board, then maybe they should start expanding BRFD coverage to the areas currently covered by the St. George Fire District.
