This is precisely the reason they didn't get Saban. The boosters are extremely arrogant and are allowed too much control. There was fighting between them on the terms and they never could agree on who to hire. Saban was the home run, but they were fighting about the money and what to do with Mack. They couldn't agree on anything and lost Saban as a result. They deserve it.

I firmly believe that no coach will be successful there because of this as well. The boosters are allowed too much involvement in the program and Texas is scared to force them to back off. Their greed and love of the dollar is the reason for the downfall. They won't take the risk of losing booster money. Strong will be lucky to win 10 games a year.
