This doesn't shock me. Every podcast I listened to and every article I read had doubts that it would be ready in time. Ubisoft seems to be pushing titles back a lot lately but if they get it done right I am ok with it.

I'm ok with that, the end product ends up being a much better game, at higher quality

I feel the same way. What they showed at E3 seemed SO ambitious that I never believed it'd be out this year.
