Question about Kenny Hilliard

If Hill and Hilliard return and with Fournette heading our way could Hilliard possibly be moved to LB. IIRC he played some LB in high school and could compete for more PT there and maybe upgrade the position.

I like it better than see him getting 5 carries next year

If he ever changes position it'll be to FB.

The word coming out of LSU is that hes starting at MLB this year and will also punt some in the new two punter formation Miles is cooking up. Im stoked.

I'm not sure how this will work, but I trust my coach.

Some of you act like this would be unbelievable. I do remember about 10-15 years ago FSU had a QB who was 3rd string and switched over to TE and had a really good senior season. I know if I had 1 season left and odds were playing time would be extremely thin then I would want a chance to compete where I might get some PT. I thought about LB because I thought he played there in high school in addition to RB and did well.

Notre Dame had a backup tailback switch to starting linebacker his sr year about 8 years ago.
And LSU had Spadoni make the move, but he simply wasn't an sec caliber football player.

the ND linebacker you're talking about is Courtney Watson. he never played RB in college, even though that's what he was recruited as. he only played LB after switching to D his redshirt yr.
Hilliard hasn't played D in 3 yrs, do you really think he'd switch over and get some time over guys who have been in the system a few yrs (or even a fr like Garrett)?

Anthony Barr played runningback for UCLA, before switching over to OLB and leading the country in sacks in his first season at the position. Though that's not exactly the same thing.

Hilliard more likely forgoes his remaining eligibility to try to make an NFL team as an UDFA if Hill comes back.

Us folks up in West Feliciana would rather y'all not remind us that Hilliard played LB in HS. Thanks bunches.

I could see a great athlete going from QB to WR and maybe the other way, but from RB to LB at this level in one year isnt going to happen.

You are obviously oblivious to the Fighting Tigers depth chart on both Offense and Defense.

he should stay for his senior year, maybe play a little fb and a lot of special teams, get his degree, then go as an udfa next year

If Jacob Hester could be the starter at running back and fullback in 2007 according to the depth chart, anything can happen. He's one guy yet he started at two offensive positions. Les Miles is a wizard.
