There have been numerous threads on the O-T and the Poli Board where the drug users have repeatedly claimed legalization would bring down the cost of illegal drugs. Those were not isolated posts.

I don't venture over to the poli board too often but I do frequent the pot threads here (usually with some stupid joke about Christian values) and I've never seen anyone say that it would cause prices to drop. I've also never seen a coherent argument against an adult's right to use this kind of stuff. What I have seen are a bunch of jackasses making straw-man arguments like the one in your first post.

Do you, as a champion financial guru, believe that prices will drop after the initial onslaught of purchases?

After the novelty of the product dies down, will prices drop?

Well those posts are not incorrect, in theory. From a macro-level perspective, legalization would mean cheaper "illegal" pot, and more expensive "legal" pot. It's pretty basic, and this news falls right in line with it.
