A buddy of mine used to manage/run a tire and repair shop. He told me the most effective use of fuel cleaners (specifically Seafoam)is once every other tank. Obviously $20 a month on fuel cleaners is pretty ridiculous. I do however run a can through once every other month to keep things running smooth. I usually get an extra 1-2 mpg when I run it through the tank.
