Yeah, no. Run a can of Seafoam ($9) through the tank. Your fuel system will be fine.
Throttle body can get pretty dirty at times but can be cleaned with relative ease. Throttle body cleaner and a soft bristle toothbrush.

I was thinking sea foam since he has no warranty. That stuff does wonders
