I am puzzled by the assumption that a good or even great player would automatically have the skill set to be a good or great coach. These skill sets are not the same, there are numerous former players who failed at coaching, despite being immensely talented at playing.

Don't try to apply logic or be rational about this. People think because he went to LSU, was successful as a pro, and is now retired, well then theres' nothing he'd rather do than come back to LSU and coach!!!!! This in spite of the fact that i'm pretty sure the guy has said he wants to spend time with his family, and not take on the work load of recruiting and coaching at a top tier school. But he went to LSU!!!!!! Durrrrrrrrrr.

The logic is that he's already interned on the Bills staff, spent time working with the Vandy OL, and was rumored to have volunteered in the football building this season at LSU breaking down film after moving back to BR. He wants time with his family first and foremost but this isn't just coming out of left field.
