Two thoughts:
You are hunting where the deer are at 2 a.m. You need to hunt where they are in the daytime.
That's a lot of deer off of 900 acres. You might have thinned your herd too much and really educated the ones you have left.

really, we had about 18-20 does and maybe 3-5 horned deer. Not exact on the numbers but I thought that was about right. Maybe we're wrong.

you just never know, we have a lot of roads that we can hunt at the same time as the plots, so along with catching them in the plots we also bag quite a few walking and crossing the road while we hunt the plots.
But I know what you're saying.
