Seed teams based on record, first tie breaker is division winner.

Division winners get automatic playoff status but not home field.

This. I just used more words to say it

This is best. Still need to keep AFC vs NFC brackets. But seeding and home field should go to better records.

Support. It sucks that teams with a better record get screwed by playing in a division with another great team while an 8-7-1 team in a meh division gets a home game.
