Is it bad I'm doing the opposite? I finished p90x last week and was taking in a moderate/high level of good carbs. I just started p90x3 today and through this cycle am going to lower my carbs (while still keeping high protein).

I saw great muscle results and really like the progress I made the last few months, but my biggest goal was to get rid of the fat around my love handles and those are still going strong. I just assumed I'd need to cut back on carbs.

Cutting isn't bad if you're trying to lose excess fat. You don't have to stick to one diet all the time. Lots of people cut on carbs in the beach season. They like the more ripped look. There's nothing wrong with that.

But, if you have energy problems and can't get through your workouts, you might want to increase your carb intake. Your body needs sugar to survive.
