Ah, the Lowery quote ... I guess if that is considered talking shite then there you go. If LSU needs that for motivation, they might be in trouble.
Do I think it was necessary for Lowery to say anything that could be twisted into "trash talking"? No (I guess he failed the "answer all questions like robots" test), however saying he is confident after watching the film isn't a big deal IMO. The media hypes the SEC teams to the Nth degree all year long... he is just relieved to see actually human beings running routes, not cyborgs.
Believe me, all of Iowa's coaches/players and 99% of the fans respect the hell out of LSU in every way. They know they are in for a dog fight, however they also know they can win this game, since they have been improving all year and have a GREAT group of Seniors leading by example. Being the underdog in Bowl games under Ferentz is nothing new (this will be 10th out of 11 that Iowa is the dog, and usually by 6 or more). KFs record is 6-4 in those games.
