re: Is one 10" subwoofer enough?

One 10" will be more than adequate in an F-150, even if it's an extended/crew cab or whatever, given your musical tastes. Heck, even with bass-heavy music, it'd do fine. Just make sure it's a decent brand. Also, if you've got an amp, it might have frequency/crossover control built in.
