Why does Mack have Texas by the shorthairs? An outfit with the money and clout of Texas could just kick his old arse to the curb, pay his buyout and back up the Brinks truck to whatever coach they want to run the show. Instead, they pussy foot around and "let" Mack "step down" and keep him employed in the administration AND are willing to pay him his full contract?

He did make a veiled threat about writing a book about his experiences at Texas during his resignation presser. This has extortion written all over it.
