The writer of that article is a hack. Know how I know?

quote:

LSU’s receivers said last week that they’re adjusting to Jennings’ passes
If he wanted to really portray what the receivers "said", he would have quoted them.
quote:

which are not thrown as hard or accurate as Mettenberger’s
This is his own assumption based off of the receivers "saying" they're adjusting and perhaps his own observations. But he wants he reader to think the receivers came to that conclusion.

This is the media being the media; they want to push a predetermined story whether the quotes take them in that direction or not, and this is one of the tricks they use to do it.

I'm impressed with Anthony Jennings. His Twitter account is upbeat and wonderful. My point is for LSU fans to have realistic expectations! LSU has talent, but to expect a perfect performance from a freshman quarterback making his first start. Of course I did not expect Jennings to drive us 99 yards or Auburn to return a missed field goal 109 yards...

A bit of trivia.... Does anyone know how we got the idiom "rule of thumb"?

A man could beat his wife as long as the stick he used was no thicker than his thumb. Hence the term, "RULE OF THUMB"...

Auburn would have never had the idea without our Odell!!! Until OBJ returned that missed field goal, they did not even know where to put the stats!

You're welcome Auburn... Three years in a row the defeat that Bama suffered was because of us...

1. 2011 November.... Eric Reid interception....
2. aTm.... We bruised them up and Aggies used our film and game plan to find the kryptonite.
3. Auburn thought of the miracle that might happen because of OBJ!

You're welcomed!

I'm more inclined to believe that AJ will have a game like this.

How many did Matt Mauck throw against Tenn. when he had to come in for Rohan in the SEC Championship? The answer is zero.

i'm predicting an efficient yet unspectacular game from AJ

something like 14/22 175 yards and a TD

No one knows what he will do. He may run for 3 Td's and toss 4 pic 6's .
I see someone posted that Iowa is as good as Ole Miss . I would say they are better than Ole Miss . More like A&M . We were up for A&M . If this LSU team is up , the Outback not be much of a game . If they play like they did against Ga , Ole Miss and bama they will not win .It just that simple . Iowa is coming to play a football game . They are tired of hearing the SEC is the best . They mean to prove that is wrong .Iowa is not just playing a game against LSU but against the SEC !! If LSU is like the fan base , we are in trouble . Ticket sales seem low right ??

Ok first of all, this is not twitter. So stop with the the retarded "@".

Secondly, your argument is that since the Manning brothers threw int's in their first start, that means that "the rule of thumb" is every qb will do it. I'm not following how that is anymore than just a very random and weak piece of supporting evidence.

Third, I think Jennings won the confidence of the team and the fanbase when he had 2 minutes on the clock, the ball was spotted on LSU's 1 pube line, and the pressure was on to score for the win. He methodically drove the ball down the field with some pretty impressive throws - not just to wide open receivers but between defenders.

It would have been different if LSU was blowing Arkansas out and all Jennings did was come in and hand the ball off 15-20 times until LSU scored.

Sounds more like something you pulled out your arse than a rule of thumb. Then again, maybe that's where you thumb has been.
