Would it be crazy for coaches to devalue a potential draft pick for these reason? It might show that the draftee is more concerned with celebrity status than football success. Those scouts analyze every possible angle, so that line of thinking would not surprise me.

Or it might mean the kid picked the wrong agent(they do that all the time) or it might mean nothing. The coach would probably end up screwing themselves more often than not.

Cute thought, but this is real life. People are stupid and will gladly overpay if they think it makes them better. Even if 29 baseball GM's are smart, there will be one who thinks he is even smarter.

As in Cano and Pujols.
