Just watched "The Pistol" for the first time in years, why no sequel?

I was wondering why LSU was never mentioned in the movie (closing story follow up about the records he still owns in college)?
The story was taken straight from Pete's autobiography "Heir to a Dream"(co-written by Darrel Campbell, who produced and starred in this movie).
I would love to see a sequel to this movie about his college and pro days. It should be a less "kid friendly" movie and cover the hardships he went through such as - alcoholic mother, his fight with drugs and alcohol, the fall of Press and the hatred Pete had with LSU for years afterwards.
He wanted to go to West Virginia, but his father made him go to LSU or he would have disowned him.

Pete was a wacky man with some really bad habits. I see no benefit in dramatizing that behind-the-scenes stuff. Not all great athletes' adult lives make for good screenplays.

quote:yes, but a pretty good guy - he would be a lame NBA player these days (off court antics) - legend has it among law enforcement folk on the north shore - he popped 150 mph in his Porsche on the Causeway.

That's one man that I know couldn't live up to his own legend. The stories I hear from old people are like fish stories.
I remember the first time I saw him miss a shot in clips of game video I was perplexed and had to rewind the video to make sure I saw what I saw. I couldnt believe pete missed. I thought he never missed a shot in his life. Then came the video where he actually loses a game of Horse to another nba player. I was cross-eyed in disbelief.
