largely because they were able to hit big in drafts with excellent players. Any small market team who has done anything whatsoever in regards to winning a title or legitimately competing for one has done it through the draft.

And they'll get just as many good picks as the large market teams will. Compare that with the current system where they get fewer good picks since they win more games than the large market teams.

The Clippers have gotten more high picks than anyone in the lottery era. It's amounted to nothing.
