I dont get that Miles is a bad game day coach. If so how has he won 94 games? What does that say about the other coaches he beat to get to 94? They just fell asleep that day at let les out coach them? Further proof is not all 94 wins were we leading from start to finish. At some points adjustments were made to win those games.

This is the nuttiest thread I have seen in a long time. It seems folks want to compare Miles now to the Spurrier of 10-15 years ago.
Spurrier had a great run at Florida...innovative offense...good defense...great players...that was then, this is now. Steve Spurrier is a shell of his former self now. He's not even running the same offense he ran at Florida. He's at a school that has a harder chance of winning a NC than other SEC schools, including LSU. There's only so much blood he can get out of the Gamecock turnip. Hell, he can't even get one of the top players in the country to not take games off during the kid's last season of college football that would surely have made him the top pick in the draft and possibly win the Heisman Trophy as a defensive player. (Spurrier has lost control of his superstars) And hasn't Miles beat him head up twice ?
Saban is Saban...certainly the best in college football today, but even then, Miles has had some success against him.
Let Miles coach, for God's sake. He on the cusp of assembling possibably one of the best recruiting classes in college football history. As I write this, one of Saban's prized recruits from Louisiana has decommitted to reassess his decision. Who knows, he may come here and bring somebody with him !
For years, all we heard was that Bear Bryant said "if he had LSU's second string, he could win an NC every year", but has anyone actually found the quote and when/where he said that?
For some strange reason, I believe Miles has a few more championships in him here at LSU. Our competition for the SEC west may be Auburn or Ole Miss instead of Bama (I hope so).
All I'm saying is if you are going to compare Miles to other coaches, compare him to current coaches and their current performance, not what they did 10-15 years ago.
