Occam's razor can't explain such a thing, and I made no assertion that it did.
The most direct explanation for why you are hearing Saban-to-Texas rumors is because Saban wants you to. It benefits him either way, and fits the historical pattern. Occam's razor.

what has fewer assumptions:
A) a man in a job that he's been in 40% longer than any previous job has said he intends to retire in that job and just agrees to a deal that would make that likely. we have on the record comments with legitimate media sources, or
B) a potential employer paid off $25M of debt for a potential employee with no guarantee that said potential employee would take the job and has been able to keep that info quiet despite the full attention of the college football media? said employer is going to pay said potential employee 2X previous salaried employee in same role and offer 10 year fully guaranteed contract even if said potential employee retires before the 10 year period ends. all info is speculative or nearly 12 months old.
