I'm not sure about guaranteed but so far he's shown a complete inability to recruit whatsoever. He didn't even recruit for us when he was OC and his staff is a bunch of his teammates from his playing days and most aren't recruiters.
He's a brilliant offensive mind but he needs a helluva lot more seasoning. I think he'll be successful long term but it's going to be more a slow build as he learns the ropes of being a college coach. But yeah, he'd get run out on a rail at UTx because they wouldn't have the patience Tech will.

I'm sort of surprised by this. You'd figure a guy who's in his early 30s would be a pretty decent recruiter.
