How much will the tech crowd play in the game? Not a typical basketball powerhouse and right before Christmas, could the game's timing help us out from that viewpoint?

They've been averaging less than 5k. Shouldn't be a lot of crowd noise.

With the amount of points they score in the paint, Mickey could be vital to the defense. Need a good defensive game from him.

it won't be a factor. i live here, and attend a couple of games a season. the arena is never very full, and will be worse than usual with students out for winter break.

but i'll be there....

It won't. Duke or Kentucky could roll into the United Spirit Arena and there would only be 8,000 in attendance (it holds 15,000). It's one of the nicest arenas in all of college basketball, but Tech has been so bad of late that the fans just don't show up. Hopefully Tubby changes that.
