my Dad is pretty much the same.
he'll watch and follow and talk about LSU football. And he picks random white basketball players he like and follows them (dirk, steve nash, steve kerr, pistol pete)
but other than that, my mom is way more into sports. Dad is more of a outside type of person, yet was a solid athlete when he was younger.
