2002 - USC
2003 - LSU
2004 - USC
2005 - Texas (I think USC was better, but I'll go with Texas since they won heads up.)
2006 - LSU
2007 - Georgia
2008 - Florida

They had:

2002 - USC vs. Miami
2003 - USC vs. Michigan (USC knocking out LSU in the semis)
2004 - USC vs. Utah
2005 - USC vs. Texas
2006 - Florida vs. Ohio St.
2007 - USC vs. LSU
2008 - Florida vs. Oklahoma (UF knocking out USC in the semis)

2009...Bama, etc.

With fat frick Navarre at quarterback? Dude couldn't move. The Rose Bowl against USC was awful. He was terrible.

LSU's defense got after the quarterback more than anyone in the nation that year. LSU would have crushed them just like USC.

ETA: I misread. Thought it said Michigan over LSU in the semis. But I'll leave this here to illustrate just how fricking terrible Navarre was.
