He not gone: Do you respect Mack and Nick more or less?

Weren't there ban bets? Looks like Nick is staying and so is Mack. If the rumors are true Nick had the willingness to go but kind of like when Auburn tried to hire Petrino while Tubs was still there it did not work out too well. My question is this: do your respect Nick more or less and same for Mack? Nick has pulled off an amazing deal from Bama, but he is now unquestionably the most shameless whore to ever grace the collegiate gridiron. Mack on the other was too big a dick to just go away. Now I wonder if he has caught his second wind? This whole season awoke the competitive juices in Mack as UT played 110% better for him down the stretch. Mack was going to be damned if he let them put him out to pasture for another 62 old fart. Mack out played UT and Nick out played Bama. Both are pathetic and powerful at the same time. Nick is a tramp but you have respect his game. Mack is to stupid to know when he is not wanted but is starting to show the kind of fight he needs to right the ship. Kudos Nick and Mack you pathetic powerful gridiron gods!

Ah yes, I do believe there were year-long ban bets, at that.

Respect Mack more, same story with Saban. Unbelievable coach, unbelievable extortionist.
Nah, that's not fair, if UA will pay it, he's worth it.
Still, piss on him for coming back to the same conference, same division after Miami.

Just throwing a spitball here, but if Mack gets his arse kicked in the bowl game and he gets canned, is there any chance UT throws 10 mil at Nick just to see what happens. I don't know if there is a buyout in the extension he signed or not? I know he's staying, just food for thought.

Mack has cover because he has no QB. However he has not QB because he is a dumbass for missing Famous Jameis and Johnny Football, so.

I think that's pretty unlikely, to be honest. If they shitcan him, I think they'll go after a different big name now that the last few days have resulted in a colossal embarrassment. They'd just look pathetic.

Saban, about the same. Had an opportunity to get some coin dropped into his lap, took advantage.
Mack, respect increased by a factor of ten. Strolled into the death chamber and instead of being strapped to the gurney, punched the guards, grabbed the warden by his balls and dragged him over to be spanked in front of all the witnesses and then took over the prison.

Unchanged on both. I respect UT's administration less.

The fact that they are even thinking about keeping mack just goes to show why their program is circling the toilet. They haven't figured out that this is a business and you make a decision as such. He got all his friends to feel bad for him and let him stay longer. I would have told him pack your shite and get the hell out cause you're fired! No wonder they can't compete with the SEC.

Hell national media members predicted this days ago. Gregg Doyel has a good article on it and he was in the same camp I was that there was 100% chance Saban wasn't going there.

Respect Nick as a coach, not a human.
See if this sounds familiar...
quote:
"I have a great commitment to LSU, a great love for this institution, all that we've been able to accomplish here and the great support that so many people have given us," Saban said Wednesday night after LSU's first bowl game practice.
9 days before he hopped the Blockbuster jet. The guy is simply a hired gun...a mercenary, which is fine. He does what he does. I do get a chuckle listening to BAMA fans throw their shoulders out of socket patting themselves on the back because Nick said some nice things about their place while accepting yet ANOTHER huge contract extension...as if it's the only time he's said such a thing while signing the dotted line.

I think in Mack's case, he looks a lot more sympathetic to anyone who isn't wearing burnt orange.
Now, imagine if he rattles off a bunch of 10 win seasons. It'll be almost like Jetgate.

It would be funny to see UT offer 10 and Saban tell them no thanks. They would have to walk back to Austin with their pants down.

And they'd look like one of those guys who you have absolutely no respect for -- the one who gets down on his knees, begging and sobbing for a girl to accept him only to have her throw the drink he tried to buy her into his face.
I honestly think the Texas fans would riot in the streets if that happened.

I think the best case scenario for Texas is to go forward with Mack, but start the season with him saying this is his last year.
It would make things a hell of a lot easier on them.

Texas just needs to ride with Mack this year.
One major coaching rejection in an offseason can just be an amusing footnote. Two is the fine line between an "embarrassing" program and a flat out laughingstock.

Dude Nick locked you in a box in the woods and used a case of KW on your raw arse. Pulp Fiction basement scene and Bama are now the gimps not the gumps.

True, but I think it would be better for everyone else('s sense of humor) if he stayed, rattled off some ten wins and a couple of B12 championships, all topped off with a few consecutive victories over Oklahoma just to rub it in their faces.
Either way, I think the Saban ship has sailed for them now. Those big money boosters (you know, the ones with more money than everyone but the Vatican?) don't like having their egos bruised.
