good thing about becoming buddies with your local bottle shop cat is they'll set things aside and call you as soon as they get things in. I plan to grease his palm in a week when I go up for Christmas to the tune of some Dr. Hoptagon and couple other beers he can't get there and has never had.
We have two shops close to me. the Charleston Beer Exchange which i have been to a few times. They get a good selection of brews, prices are fair, but when they get limited releases, they get super limited... they were selling BCBS two bottle limits, no repeat buys...
We have another shop... TOTAL WINE... 2 mins from my house. They have just as good a selection as CBX (although sometimes they hold stuff in the back where CBX puts it out as soon as its in stock), fair pricing as well. The only limit was on BCBS to the tune of 1 four pack of each, but I have gone back multiple times in the day to buy for others....
The only real difference between the two is when White Chocolate Moo Hoo came out, CBX had a case and Total Wine got none. So I missed out. Other than that, Growler fills are better @ CBX as well. Bad thing about Total Wine is, there is no one to really look out for you (corporate). I still get a good amount of swag from them though. Never ending supply of Founders Breakfast and Backwoods Bastards (staples in my fridge) Timber Beast is normally stocked pretty well. Fresh Two Heart, Smuttynose, Westbrook... Moo Hoo and W n B at 9 and 11 bucks a 4 today...
As much as I'd love a little shop where I know the owner blah blah blah... I can't really complain about Total Wine

Switched to hard liquor.
Beer selection in the places we have gone has been crappy.
Good call. This is what I do too in such situations.

How did the party turn out? Hopefully great with no wine spilled on rugs or furniture and no puking. People wandering in the bushes is fine of course, as long as they don't drive home.

FBD was a hop head red about 5 hours ago.
After about 3 old fashions; SBD is a Guinness red harvest stout.
This is about a piss pour stout as you could imagine.

Goose, if you make the Jamboree next year (hopefully you will), we will attempt to prevent you from driving away all messed up. Just saying.

I couldn't stay for long, but the jamboree is a great time.
Hopefully we can get Wiltz over here next year.
