Don't post often but 90% of my posts have been supporting Les against the negatigers over the years until I realized that it was a waste of time. Glad to add my support to this thread and to see a show of support for the damn finest coach in LSU history!

I think it helps recruiting to have stability at the HC level. Miles has had opportunities to leave but he loves LSU.
Quirky? Yes, but he's our quirky and we love Les.

Good post. Love Les. I really wish we would be hanging a 2012 N.C. flag over Tiger stadium, but i am over it. Excited about our hopeful recruits, and looking forward to alwas being in the hunt.

Love Les. LSU is lucky to have him.
But in response to his statement that A&M won't enjoy their first year in the SEC, uh, they beat natl champ Saban in Tuscaloosa, won the Heisman with a freshman, lost two games total by a combined eight points, and finished #5 in the country (seven higher than LSU).
So I think they actually enjoyed it quite a bit.

A head coach is like the CEO of the team. He may be the most brilliant person in the world. He may able to do X's and O's, specialty coach, hell even advanced calculus. Although they're not bad qualities to have, for a head coach they don't matter that much. His job is to hire and fire and set the philosophy, tone, and direction of the team. His job is to find and surround himself with the most talented coordinators, assistant coaches, recruiters, and ancillary personnel he can find, and then provide them with the tools and environment to use their talents to succeed. So often, brilliant people are horrible CEO's because they tend to micromanage. Other's don't surround themselves with the best because they fear they will be overshadowed.
As example, Les loses Pelini and replaces him with Chief. He has continually upgraded OC, despite some setbacks along the way, and finally snags Cam. Given his track record, Les' greatest quality is his ability to recruit high quality coaches and players, and to retain them better than most. It's pretty safe to say that as long as CLM is at the helm, there will no lack of talent and quality individuals both on and off the field at LSU.
He's also sharper than many people initially thought. Brilliant the way he's managed to get most of the hater's including @ ESPN to either like or love him.

Les is a good guy and will keep the program at 9 or 10 wins a year. There are really no complaints here other than the fact that I can guarantee that we will not win another NC with him as coach. Hell, the team in 2007 had 2 losses and had to beat Auburn at home with a last second hail mary.

Those who want to fire Les are the same idiots who day trade with their retirement portfolio.

Hell yeah!!! Miles has treated fans to a wild ride....its been entertaining so far!! Does he make some mistakes, of course, but he is a winner. I predict that when we look back on his tenure, fans of LSU will appreciate how stable and winning our football program was under Les!

Do you people forget the last 7 years? Remember Urban Meyer crying on sportscenter? Remember "the eye test" in 2011?
Hell, Auburn is sitting there right now because of an epic last min hail mary over UGA.

This isn't even accurate. All we needed was a field goal. Les just hated Tommy Tubberville.

"Only the Tigers. I am from Louisiana"
So excited right now. Chief should get most of his guys back. The QB development this year compared to last few is just night and day. The past is great and the future is bright.
