LSU "O"
In facing LSU's big three (OBJ,Juice and Hill) the hawkeyes will be going against the best group of starting skilled athletes they will have seen all year. All three are in the 1,000 yard club.
Tiger's O-line is better in run blocking than pass protection. LSU WILL run between the tackles.
LSU was one of if not the best in the country at third down conversion. That was with a two year starter at QB, We don't have him anymore.
It will be hard to continue those numbers with a first time starter at QB though.
That's why it's so hard to predict what the tiger offense will be looking like for the bowl game.
Jennings should be able to have success in the passing game. If he has any time in the pocket OBJ and Juice will get open. If he is pressured the hawkeyes will be hurt with his scrambling ability.
LSU "D"
Solid set of four at DE. Not that flashy, just solid allaround players. Hunter did turn A&M's all american LT into his bitch though.
DT's have had their moments especially Ego. Freak is the more talked about one but, Ego had the better season. Not much experience behind the starter here.
LBs, two out of three aint bad. Barrow is the veteran and Alexander is the better athlete.
Starting CBs are true freshmen and are getting better every day. Don't expect for iowa's WRs to have much success in passing game.
Safties are better in run support which is bad news for the hawkeyes.
Tiger punter can get off a 50 yarder anytime and is also good for a 15 yarder at least once a game.
FG kicker has missed only one all year. No more than two.
Coverage teams are usually outstanding. If iowa's coverage teams aren't up to it OBJ will make them pay.
As most all games whoever wins the turnover battle and controls the LOS will win the game.
LSU will have success runing the ball. Will it be Hill, Magee, Blue, Hillard or Jennings doesn't matter. If hawkeys aren't able have success running to set up playaction, game over.
Looking forward to the game.

Aw jeez, another blowhard?
Okay, I've got one for ya...
Iowa will shut down LSU's run game and force Jennings to beat us with his arm.
It's all settled then.
