OL prospect is the only position IMO, that you would have to seriously consider going to another school rather than LSU.
Also how important is education. If my son received a scholly from Stanford or even an academic to an Ivy League school, I would try to persuade him to go that route.

I agree with you but it's not like LSU is Pollyanna Tech. I mean good lord it's a great school academically as well. I've never heard of someone in the business world turning their nose up at an LSU education . I agree with your comments about the o-line though. Hopefully Stud will get his walking papers and they make a good hire there.
For the other posters comments about out of state prospects,
Scott gave his opinion as to why someone from out of state would choose LSU as well. We definitely want and need those guys. I think some people may be missing the point of his post.
IMO he is saying that LSU has a lot to offer both kids instate and out. He gave his thoughts about what it would mean for him if he was an elite prospect from Louisiana and the advantages that LSU offers for out of state kids. I agree with everything in his post. Sadly some people read it and interpreted it negatively. I didn't see it that way at all. I thought it was extremely positive and well written.
