It's called overkill or oversaturation.

Think about bowl season. Most people watch the first 3-4, get sick of them around Christmas, and then watch the big ones on New Years. It's too freaking much and I have to have some kind of life outside of football. At some point somebody in my family is going to want to watch something else.

That's how I feel about football. I'm busy on Thursday trying to finish my week. Besides, I'm about to get involved for 72 hours straight.

Why do you have to watch the Thursday game? You're acting like your teacher is assigning too much homework. Nobody forces you to watch...

Do you watch every game on Sunday?

well yeah people in let's say LA aren't forced to watch a Boston College/Iowa bowl, so why do they?

if you just watch teams you care about, you won't feel any overkill, but that should be obvious
