His yards per completion (16.05) are sick--and would lead the nearest NFL team by 2.7 yds.

ETA: Take out the sacks, and JJ wasn't bad at all for a first year starter.

Sad thing is, JJ regressed at times and never got any better. Could be the lack of a good qb coach, idk.

I posted it in another thread but he is third in the country at over 10 yards per attempt. Only behind Petty and Winston.

His first season as starter actually had us hopeful going forward. He was capable at least. Then turned into a complete disaster.

The problem may have been between the ears but I wonder what could have happened with Cam as his OC/QB Coach. JJ had all the aspects you'd want in a college QB (big frame, strong arm and ability to make plays with his feet) but could never piece everything together. Mett was able to blossom under a legit coach, so it makes me wonder what could have been if we had Cam here several years earlier.
