Heard a Panther on NFL Live today say they will make the Superdome "as quiet as a church during the sermon" on Sunday after they jump on the Saints early. Didn't catch who it was. Cocky idiot.

at least they really believe they are going to win.

after the Saints beat them it should make it all that more demoralizing for them.

a mediocre offense coached by Mike Shula trying to outscore a Saints offense led by Sean Payton and Drew Brees... in the Dome.

Saints will win it.

No doubt in my mind.

i have NEVER met a "die hard" panthers fan. i know their organization isnt quite that old, but no one in that area usually gives a shite about the panthers. i had a friend who spent some time in that area. he said the nfl seemed non existent. one of the biggest band wagon teams right now.

I hate the Panthers, Smitty, and their freakishly small-eared QB as much as the next Saints fan, but that quote was taken a little out of context.

https://www.charlotteobserver.com/2013/12/04/4519783/stevestradamus-smiths-panthers.html

quote:

The prime-time broadcast on NBC gives Saints’ fans a few more hours to get primed for the game. But Smith said the crowd will only be raucous if the Saints are ahead. “I think every stadium’s like that. If you’re winning, it’s going to stay loud,” he said. “If you’re not, it’s going to be like a sermon in church. Quiet.”

He's not exactly calling out the Superdome.

Maybe we will aim the speakers at their offense and blare the piped in music
