I think he's a brilliant defensive mind - cut from the Saban cloth and proven at several different schools - who can be a good head coach with the right OC hire and the right offensive philosophy. He just made a terrible splash hire with Weis, followed it up with a weak soup hire of Pease, and they couldn't ever develop a quarterback.
I'm not making excuses for him, and they're no great shakes this year even without all the injuries, but 4-8 wasn't entirely on him.

Not that injuries are a valid excuse - but this Florida team has sustained an amount of injuries this year that is almost unbelievable.
