re: Does Terrance Magee Remind Anyone of Jacob Hester?

He is a north south runner like Hester, and he finishes runs the way Hester did, always getting the maximum yardage he should get. But he is much quicker and not as bog.
McGee reminds me of Ray Rice, both is physical appearance and the way he runs. To me, McGee is the most consistently effective RB on our roster. Hill has a bigger upside, but he seems to want to take every handoff to the endzone, regardless of the game situation.
When McGee has a negative play, it is almost always because a defender was not accounted for and gets penetration deep in the backfield. Hill has a lot of negative plays because he tries to bounce it outside trying to hit the homerun.
I am a big fan of McGee.

Domanick Davis (now Williams) #31

And how many of those Juniors from last year are on NFL rosters? I think that last years mass departures actually help us going forward. Juniors will really think about it before declaring.

Hester wasn't half as quick.
Maybe not, but the issue isnt nearly as black and white as you're making it out to be

No not at all. Maybe Carey.
Hester was all power and will.
Magee is all speed and will.
When Magee starts breaking tackle after tackle and goes in for short yardage situations and always gets two yards maybe then.

Magee doesn't really remind me of Hester at all. He's shiftier and has a lot more breakaway speed.

If TMagee can develop into the leader JHester was, watch out.
He has the physical skills.
Surely it would be nice for LSU.
Players like JH don't come around all the time.

Who didn't make a roster? Sam was the only one cut.
But TM is a lot quicker than JH! I see the similar running styles though!

yes...the comparison is obvious to me. both quick...not fast. both hit the hole at near top speed. both run the play the way it was called. olineman's dream.

I agree here.

Magee is my favorite kind of running back, short, thick, fast, hits the hole hard, and follows the blocks/play.

Magee is on a different level than Hester ever was. Hester was basically a less talented Spencer Ware.. just a fullback playing HB really.

Magee is fast. He's not going to get caught from behind like Charles Scott or Hester did.

There has NEVER been an LSU player with more grit and heart than Hester. Look at the 2007 FLA game and get back to me... I like Magee,,, but.........
