Remind me of Ware, in but a faster. More l ike 2010 Cotton Bowl Ware, than the battering ram he became in 2011

No not even close. I posted on Sept 2. Magee reminds me of Dalton Hilliard. Hilliard was the most successful pro back ever to come out of LSU. Look up his statistics. They're built the same. They're scorers. Very similar. I made that post after seeing him once. The coaches should have been playing him more from the beginning.

Hell no. Hester rarely had carries over 20 yards.

I love me some Magee for a couple of reasons but they aren't the same as why I am a big Hester fan. After thinking about it, I kinda see some similarities but just not in their game.
They both seemed like an underdog going into their breakout seasons. They both run with all they have for every extra inch and with determination.
The differences, though, are kinda glaring to me. Hester had leg strength that I honestly haven't seen at LSU since his departure. I remember Scott running like a bull and people comparing them but Scott had to get up to speed to run strong while Hester did it from a standstill and just powered with his legs like in that Florida game where some of those 4th down extra inches were form his leg power alone after being stopped in his tracks.
That kind of leg power isn't very common. Maybe it was all about his dad getting his brothers and him to pull tires up a hill growing p? I love that story and it really rings true when you look at it like this.
Magee, however, is much faster but he was a breath of fresh air when I saw how hard he hits the holes. I often wondered why many LSU backs seemed to be a little too patient with waiting for holes to open. That can be a good thing at times of coarse. It is even called for on certain plays but it just seemed to happen way too much compared to what I saw from other program's backs.
I guess that there's something to say about being patient because I see Hill as a patient back but I just love me some Magee bursting through the LOS with mucho attitude.
Like I said, I love 'em both but done't see them as being similar.
