In the last 10 years, only ONE player has been drafted (Lacy). I find that interesting. I know there are a lot of factors at play, but…..hmmm. That won't change this year, as Bell will not be drafted. We'll see how it plays out with Collins, Devall, etc.

I just looked at Scouts for 2014. Alabama has as many Louisiana commits as Alabama commits, four. We have no Alabama commits. Why is Saban so strong in Monroe?

I don't understand the business decision.......the goal is to make it to the NFL. If people know who you are and you are heavily scouted as a sophomore in high school you could probably go to virtually any school and meet that goal. I don't see the preparation at LSU and Bama to be that different. A ton of LSU players and Bama players get drafted every year and it's well known that they are both full of very talented athletes. I think it's more likely that kids just want to play for Saban.

Saban wears out his players leaving them a short NFL career.

That's a phony baloney justification. The real reason is Saban has managed to get some handlers in place in NE LA. Now that his tactic has been exposed, I expect the pipeline will dry up.

Alabama currently has just as many commitments from Louisiana as they do from Alabama - 4. All the Louisiana guys are from north LA.

Are you serious? NC's mean something. Successful former LSU head coach! Do you remember any of that?

Bama's coach will be leaving if the Texas job opens up----nothing personal, just business.

Ole Nick has one goal and that's to replace all Bama fans memories of the Bear with his own. When the Bear starts getting compared to him, then he will leave(retire) from Bama.

$Benjamins$ = Business Decision
Business Decision > LSU
Business Decision > LSU

Someone posted yesterday each teams recruiting budgets and I was shocked at how little $$ we allow for recruiting. Even Vanderbilt spends more on recruiting than we do. Recruiting is too important part of the game to not increase the budget

From everything we've read from folks up there, it's boots on the ground. They are working it harder than we are. Seems to be the refrain from the recruits we've lost, as well as their families, coaches in the area, and other folks in the know. The question is, why?
I would also be shocked if money isn't making the rounds up there in some fashion. It's off the beaten trail compared to New Orleans or Houston or Atlanta, and covering up mischief in a small town is easier than where the major media is watching.

Why else would one go to the best football program in the country?

Read the article referenced in Dandy Don today regarding Nick Saban throwing his players under the bus instead of taking the blame for the loss to Auburn, ala, LM after ole miss loss. nice read. Wish Hootie et al had read before they're decision.

People keep saying that, I don't understand. When asked the breakdown, he answered. There was no malice.
I am not a Saban guy, I don't care where he coaches, but I don't have a problem with his statement.
