Duck hunting in waters shared by both Louisiana and Texas

Does this carry the same rule as fishing? Does my Louisiana duck stamp allow me to hunt on the Texas side and vice versa. I am looking into guided duck hunting tours on Caddo Lake. I tried to find this info online and was unsuccessful. Thanks in advance.

I emailed him a bunch of questions. Just curious if the outdoor board could shed some light.

I honestly can't remember. I wanna say if it's Texas waters you need a Texas license. I hunt up in Toledo bend some but always stay on la side

Definitely not. If you are hunting in Texas waters, you must have a Texas license and La License if hunting in La waters.
I hunt Toledo bend and know this is a definite rule - no need to look further.

Not flaming, but are you seriously considering paying someone to take you on Caddo Lake? Why?

I'm kinda glad you asked. I don't know anything about duck hunting on Caddo Lake other than the fact that I saw a few duck blinds out there while I was fishing (Louisiana side). I don't know anyone that hunts it. The only other public duck hunting I have done is on the Red River which can be pretty crowded. Really just wanted to ask questions and see if it was worth setting up a spot out there, maybe kill a few ducks in the process.

Keep in mind you can't build any new blinds in the WMA portion of the lake. There are blinds there, but they were grandfathered in back in the early 90's.

There are a few NWLA OB members that public land hunt/fish. Come to the next NWLA OB get-together and we might be inclined to bring you along if we don't think you're gonna cornhole us.

I hadn't been around there in years. I mean don't get me wrong, it has a huntable population of ducks on it.....just not a place where I'd pay to hunt if there were other options. Also, I got a pic from a buddy of mine that has a blind there. He's literally got chain link fence up around his hole to keep the salvania out. He does have good days there though, here there and yon. Again, just never thought about paying someone to hunt me on public land.

No telling. Hopefully soon but the NWLA OBers have turned into a bunch of flakes if you ask me. Salmon keeps complaining about having to "take care of a baby" or something like that. I think I heard Polar Pop saying the same thing too. Next thing you know TClay will be using the same excuse. PRIORITIES, MEN, PRIORITIES! Get em straight.

Yeah, I'm in N. Bossier/Benton area. I was previously in south LA for school. I moved up here to be closer to family a year and a half ago bc my wife was pregs with our boy.

Not that it's a gold mine or anything, but you might want to check out Bodcau WMA. It's right down the road from you. In years where it has plenty of water, like this year, it will hold a few ducks (and they're actually ducks worth shooting - mallards and wood ducks). Be warned though, there are plenty of yahoos out there on the weekends.

Turkey, we will all get together soon for the NWLA OBGT and determine your trustworthy-ness and general well-being.
Salmon and I have toddler talk in the blind from 5-7am (newest strollers, hi-flow bottles, softest boppy, shite like that), so Coco could use an ear for those hours.
ETA: Do you have a kayak?
